The Martian (2015)

Somehow I had very high expectation about this film. Maybe because of hopes that Ridley Scott is gonna come back with masterpieces, or maybe because of Interstellar greatness, or Gravity. Because of that I wasn't very satisfied. Ridley Scott isn't making great movies like he used to. As overall it is good movie with nice " Robinson Crusoe story". However, it is longer than it should be and sometimes a little boring. With one sentence, The Martian is good but definitely overrated.

Mission: Impossible - Rouge Nation (2015)

Have you seen any MI movie? Good for you. They are all good, entertaining, high-tech, team work, drama, action, explosions...bla bla bla. The last one "Rouge Nation" is something like that, maaybee a bit better. Tom is born for action, Rebecca Ferguson was cool too, others like always.

IMDb: 7.5
Rotten Tomatoes: 93%
Metacritic: 75%
Personal rating: 8/10

Creed (2015)

Creed is the best "Rocky" movie since the first one. Nice story, nice soundtrack, nice acting (especially Stallone surprised me). Ryan Coogler is good as he was on Fruitvale Station. He seemes to be very promising director. The movie is very entertaining and motivational. Creed is way better than Southpaw.

IMDb: 8.3
Rotten Tomatoes: 93%
Metacritic: 82%
Recommendation: Very high

Everest (2015)

The movie as overall is good. There is nothing special but still has nice story and has nice visualization. The cast includes some well known names as Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sam Worthington etc.
Above all this movie gives you the desire and motivates you to explore world.

IMDb: 7.2
Rotten Tomatoes: 73%
Metacritic: 64%
Personal rating 7/10

A story should have a beginning, a middle and an end… but not necessarily in that order.- Jean-Luc Godard

Sicario (2015)

Lastest Villeneuve's action crime movie Sicario is good movie and in the circle of the best of the year.  The story is simple, known and elaborated before. What makes this movie good is its beautiful cinematography and acting. The cast: Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin are on level.
Denis Villenueve's masterpiece remains Incendies and Sicario ranks below Prisoners.

IMDb: 8.0
Rotten Tomatoes: 93%
Metacritic: 81%
The Guardian 4/5
Recommendation: High

Trainwreck (2015) short review

Trainwreck is a comedy, romance directed by Judd Apatow, with the lead actress Amy Schumer as writer. The story is about a magazine writer Amy and her fucked-up life. She has alcoholic and drug problems but those aren't her greatest. She doesn't trust in marriage although she fucks almost every guy she meets and wakes up hangover with no idea where she is.
One day her boss (Tilda Swinton) gives her a job to write about a famous doctor who works with famous athletes (LeBron James, Amar'e Stoudemire etc.). Of course as almost any Hollywood romance they end up falling in love and she starts to believe in a relationship.
There are some comic situations mainly with Amy's father (handicapped funny guy) and Amy's brother in law [her sister's (Brie Larson) husband] which aren't really enough.
With one sentence I can describe the movie as mainstream with nothing special.
The movie is nominated for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and is well rated (see below) according to me unmerited.

IMDb: 6.5
Rotten Tomatoes: 85%
Metacritic: 75%
Roger Ebert: 3/4
Personal recommendation: Low
